The main reason is that some models were never sold elsewhere, or had a very limited production run.
For example Land Rover Defenders, Rover Minis, most British sports cars, Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeos, Citroens and almost every French car, etc..
Another reason is that cars in southern and central Europe are often subjected to much less rust issues compared to most of the US and generally speaking the prices, following the abundance of options, are much lower.
